Why will the hair colour that my hairdressers put on not stay in longer than a week?

The product is LOreal. Made to cover grey hair and is left for 3/4 hr and is done by a Professional, this time the colour has started to fade on day 2.Why will the hair colour that my hairdressers put on not stay in longer than a week?
Hi 3 to 4 hours seems a long time to be left on.I would go back to the hairdresser it should not be fading so quick.

Whatever products you use after few days they will be gone.Hair colours do not stay for long.But if talking about the span then u need to consult ur hairdresser.Might be that the product used is not truthful or good one.
you are using the wrong shampoo, for one thing. probably something that is stripping the color away. You need to try chaz dean products. your color will last at least 6 months or longer. Hair will be better than you ever thought possible. please try it.
Could be semi-perminant or a wash in wash out or something along those lines. Go back and talk to your hair dresser.
sounds like she's using a semi permanent.........bad hairdresser!
If you have had colour before without problems, think you had a faulty batch of dye this time. If this has happened beofre, it sounds like you have hari that just wont hold colour. My friend has the same problem, red shades fade the quickest if you have colour resistant hair.
